Send Jessi to James

Organized by James Bruntz

Getting Married!!

Long time, no update. To make a long story short, Jessi is staying inthe US. We are getting married soon, most likely this weekend. We'llstill have lots of paperwork to file and fees to pay and red tape to cutthrough, but it will all be worth it. Best of all, we don't have to beapart for six or more months. Yay!

We're setting up a site tosell our photographs to raise more money as Jessi won't be able to workuntil we get some of that paperwork done and processed.

Thanks so much, again, for all your support and kind words! :oD
Back in the USA!

Instead of sending Jessi back to Canada on the bus, we drove all the way back to her hometown. We loaded up some more of her stuff, visited with her family and friends for a couple days and then headed back to the US. Jessi is planning to stay here for a few months while we figure out the whole visa process. Immigration is a long, paper ridden process. But, we are together for now, and that is a wonderful thing!

Together again, for a while

At the beginning of August, Jessi took a 19 hr bus ride to North Dakota and I drove 10 hrs to pick her up. She spent the rest of the month here in Kansas. It has been even better than the trip to Canada. Not being together isn't even an option anymore. Tomorrow we drive back to ND and she gets back on the bus on Sunday. We're not sure when she'll be back and if it will be for another visit or to stay. The visa process is a bit overwhelming. :oS

We appreciate all your continued support and positive thoughts! You guys are the best!

Wow! Thanks!

The immediate response to this was so much more than we were expecting! Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and to all those that are sending us happy thoughts and positive energy.

Seriously, my face hurts from smiling so big. You guys are great!
Help get these two back together

Jessi and James found each other randomly on a photo-sharing website, Flickr.com, back in November of 2006. They started out as friends, chatting online in Flickr communities and through IM. After several months they began talking on the phone as well. Somewhere along the way they fell in love. Neither one was 'looking for love' or could tell you when or how it happened. But, thankfully, it did.

One major obstacle to their romance is the 1400 miles separating them. And to further complicate things, Jessi lives in Canada, James in the US. Nobody said love was simple.

James recently took a two week vacation to go to Canada and meet Jessi face to face. Things went wonderfully. Now that they truly know what they are missing, being apart is that much more difficult and painful.

Friends suggest they try chipin.com to raise money to get Jessi to Kansas. Initially it will just be for a two week visit, but the long-term goal is to move her there so they can be together. They need money for plane tickets, visas, and moving expenses.

Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. More than they could possibly put into words. Thank you in advance for your support.
